Dr. James Starr

First Visit

In the denstist chair Your child’s first visit to our office should occur around the time of their first birthday. Although this might seem too young to you, it is important to begin instituting preventive measures before dental problems have begun. Unfortunately, it is not uncommon to examine two- year- old patients with many decayed teeth.

The first visit allows you and your child to begin to develop a positive rapport with Dr. Starr and his experienced staff. This visit is an educational experience for the parents. We will tell and show you how to properly care for your child’s teeth to prevent dental problems as they get older.

Your child’s tooth and jaw development will be assessed. All your questions regarding your child’s oral health will be addressed. Our goal is to inform you to make proper decisions regarding your child’s diet and oral hygiene to maintain healthy cavity free teeth for life.
